      Overall, I like this system. It was pretty easy to setup and install. The single Ethernet cable makes it easier to run wires to power the cameras. Less is more here.

      Image quality is great for still images but not great for moving objects like cars passing by. That was to be expected for consumer level cameras. These cameras give me peace of mind overall above all else.

      The app and settings are good enough. One complaint I do have is that, even though you set detection zones, "sometimes" you get false alarms and get notifications even though the motion or detection is outside your detection zone.

      But, if safety is your focus, extra alerts are better than no alerts. Thankfully, there aren't a ton of false notifications, otherwise I would probably just ignore them all.

      I researched this for a while before buying. For the price, this brand has the best setup, quality, night vision, and android app.

      Being an electrician helps me with the fews things that could have been complaints such as the cable length. I just bought a 1,000' box of cat5 and made my own network cables. But that was the plan from the beginning. The original cables worked fine they were just shorter than what I needes. This also means I can't really comment on tech support since I have the basic skills to figuring out what most would call tech support for.

      On a positive note, for those of you also having basic natworking and setup skills, this system involved very little guesswork. I just started pulling wire through my attic and mounting cameras and when I was done, the NVR was already displaying the video feeds. All I had to do was name and arrange them on the screen. It really is a plug and play setup experience.

      The app is probably the best part. I've had a few different camera systems and having to deal with the app has been where I struggled with whether I should buy the expensive, big brand system or not. I really wanted a "feature rich" app wit good quality streaming access. I really expected to be disappointed and have to live with a crummy app. However, in my research I found that the Reolink system was listed as having the best app which ended up being the the primary selling point that led me to take the chance. I need to be able to sign in and look at my cameras from anywhere with little to no hassle and this app is fairly streamlined and intuitive. I can't think of anything it is missing.

      Yes, the video quality is exaggerated in the description, but not by much. I kinda already expected that though. It is very clear and the zoom does not pixelate the image worse than most any other camera product. I would rank it in the top 3 in the video quality category and being the inexpensive alternative to the top 2, that's a good thing. As far as inexpensive alternatives to the high priced brand names, I'd put it at number 1 in video quality. It is still surprising me with how clear it is when I check it.

      As for night vision, it is the best I've seen at all. Very clear and well lit. I am extremely happy with the level of quality.

      As a package deal, this exceeded my expectations. I kinda figured I was about to have to settle for a system that exaggerated a lot of its features. I feel as though they did not exaggerate too much at all and if anything, undersold this. I really appreciate the quality of this sytem.

      Been impressed with reolink lately. Have some equipment at my business and just got a home package. My NVR came with a seagate skyhawk 3TB drive. I had a new 8TB WD Purple which I added as there is a spot inside the unit for a second hard drive. It initialized, formatted and showed on the unit and in the reolink app. I can’t answer to the performance of this 8TB drive yet as I just installed it and their website says Max 4TB drive per port? I will report back on this later. App works great for motion alerts and tons of options per camera!

      OK. Here's the story with getting your Reolink RLK16-410B8-5MP System up and running.
      1) Use the highest quality Ethernet cable you can. Since my installation was custom (new construction) I had all the wiring pre-installed: Cat 6. Note: If you pre-install cable, you'll need a competent company to put the RJ-45 Ethernet male ends on your cables. I cannot comment on the Ethernet cable supplied by Reolink as part of this kit because I didn't use it.
      2) Buy a good monitor. I suggest an HD HDMI monitor with high resolution. I purchased the HP P204 (a 19.5") on Amazon. Works great, Look great.
      3) Via the Reolink setup, set the Display Resolution to 1280x1024. I had Video Loss problems with other settings and/or I could not get the Reolink App to work on my iPhone. With this display setting, the camera pictures look beautiful and detailed and I have consistent pictures (no Video Loss).
      4) NOTE: To enable Motion detection so you Record when there is Motion, you MUST also make sure you set the Alarm time blocks ON (red) during those times you want Motion detection to be recorded! So, "Alarm" is not just used to trigger alarms, but also to enable the system to detect any type of exception (and Motion is considered an exception). The Recording and Alarm settings are separate but clearly linked in this manner.
      5) Alarm Settings: This is where you set a number of functions, including areas to detect motion, sensitivity of the motion detection, and types of alarm triggers. Remember to save once you change something. NOTE: If you set the system to buzz you, it will produce a buzz every time you trigger the set condition (such as motion)...which might wake you up in the middle of the night...so be very careful about setting the buzzer. Ditto enabling alerts on the Reolink App for motion detection.
      6) Sensitivity Settings for Motion (under Alarm function): Since the system uses a video differencing engine to detect motion, you'll need to carefully adjust the sensitivities to suit your own situation...and this includes the areas that detect motion since things like lights turning on an off will likely trigger an "alarm". I suggest ensuring that lights are excluded from your motion detection area.
      7) Other setup features such as (re) naming your cameras are straightforward. Expect to spend a good amount of time with your system in order to get things just right (including readjusting your cameras and resetting sensitivities).
      8) Reolink Phone App: App works fine on my iPhone. Video looks great and app works well. Again, be careful if you enable motion detection alerts especially if you set your sensitivities high or set your motion detection to "on" (via the Alarm settings) all the time because you'll likely get tons of alerts. Again, you'll want to carefully balance motion sensitivity, alarm blocks, type of recording, etc. This is a dance that will need your choreography input.
      9) I recommend getting some nice (separate) battery backups for both your internet connection and your Reolink NVR. Mine are from APC via Amazon but you can get others. You want protection when the power goes out (this assuming you'll still get an internet feed if you provide power to your on-site equipment (cable modem / router). Speaking of router: Make sure you have a spare Ethernet port on your router to hook up the Reolink NVR.
      10) The night vision on this system is AMAZING. I also have one of Reolink's RLC-520 dome cameras and all provide superb night vision...so expect to see lots of stuff and, as usual, you'll need to adjust your motion sensitivity settings (under Alarm) so you won't trigger an event every time a bird flies by.
      11) This unit produces a good bit of fan noise so you want it in a vented closet and not in your bedroom.
      12) Don't move the Monitor away from the Reolink unit until you've stabilized the settings (unless you replace the mouse with a wireless mouse). You'll need the monitor to make your setting adjustments. That is, your mouse must be near the monitor.
      13) To get back to the Menu from the display, I *right* click at the bottom to bring up the House (menu) symbol then right click again to get back to the full display.
      Have fun...and lots of patience.

      We've now had this system on our business for 2 years. Never have we had a problem with any portion of this system... it's quite actually been a plug & play operation for us. The install was the toughest job, and only then because we were building our own cables to accommodate exterior applications (UV/buriable outdoor cable) and very long/difficult cable pulls between stories and rooms of our building. Our cameras have now experienced two very cold winters in snow and ice, but most commonly see rain (in OR. state) with a few short months of good sunshine. They have all worked flawlessly. No complaints. The night vision is quite impressive on even just the RLC410 units. We've also got an RLC423, RLC511, and a few others. Each camera has performed admirably. All thumbs up to the folks at Reolink for producing such an affordable product that is also incredibly well built and versatile.

      My only ONLY grip is that when/if you wish to speak to a customer support person on the phone and ask direct questions in real time... there doesn't seem to be a way to pull that off. Instead its a string of email Q&A with their support staff that can drag on for days to answer one otherwise simple question.

      On the plus side... their staff is very helpful, though it's clear that English isn't their native tongue. Some of the replies are kinda cryptic and some of my questions need to be asked in another fashion, in order to be addressed. But I'm not hating. Just wishing I could actually speak to some guy named chuck that sounds just like I do.

      Bought an 8 camera 5mp Reolink system and added another 4 reolink cameras to it. Great system. Easy setup. Awesome picture quality. (some of the best I've seen in security cameras). I will warn anyone right away that they use ONVIF 2.1 protocol which is a lower standard. This pretty much makes any newer camera incompatible with their system. I believe they do this so you have to buy reolink cameras and I actually dont have a problem with that because they're great quality. Every camera has audio which is a bonus. The app works great on PC and phone. Playback is great as well. I've been very disappointed with Lorex/FLIR lately and can see this being my new go to camera company.

      The easiest software I have ever had the pleasure of working with. I have installed several systems from different manufacturers. I won't get into the name dropping here but from a system installer perspective, Reolink has very solid and easy to follow software. The hardware is just as impressive. I installed 12 cameras at my house without any issues. The attached picture really does not show the amount of detail these cameras display. The attached picture is a screenshot from my phone. I have had them up and running for 2-weeks now with no problems. As others have mentioned the motion detection is somewhat sensitive, but I would prefer this to be the case. The night viewing is impressive with great black and white clarity. The phone app (Android for me) is just as well thought out as the NVR software. I would not have any problem recommending Reolink to anyone that needs a IP camera system.
